Casinos Around The World- Intro- Las Vegas

Casinos. When many people hear this word, the second word that comes to mind is Las Vegas.

Surely Las Vegas is the number one location when you think of casinos and casino locations.

Next, if you're from the West Coast USA, Reno Nevada might come to mind.

Nevada is certain to be mentioned in any conversation about casino locations worldwide but there are numerous other destinations that have fine casinos and gaming action.

Of course, just having a casino doesn't make for fine gaming.

Some casinos of the world are nothing more than a room in a hotel with outdated equipment and gaming that you might be better off NOT to discover them.

Other casinos are posh beyond belief, luxury exists in every inch of these fine gaming establishments. Fine dining, fine gaming, fine attire may even be required just to visit these places.

For today, we'll talk about Las Vegas Casinos, silver city as known by some. Indeed, Las Vegas is a premier destination for casino gaming and gambling action. Casinos now exist throughout the city of Las Vegas. Years ago, when Las Vegas casinos came to mind one would think of the Las Vegas strip. Downtown Las Vegas was most popular in the early days of Las Vegas, with Binon's, Four Queens, Lady Luck and a couple of others that were the foundation of the downtown casino area. With the development of major resort hotel casinos all along the Las Vegas strip, the downtown area suffered. As a result, the City of Las Vegas had a major redevelopment program which was intended to revitalize the area. For awhile this redevelopment brought back some gaming to the downtown area but overall, the Las Vegas strip is the destination for most visitors looking for Las Vegas casino action.

Along Las Vegas Blvd., there are major destination resort hotel casinos. MGM Grand, NewYork, NewYork, Mirage, Bally's, Bellagio, Harrah's, of course the infamous Caeser's Palace and Flamingo Hilton.

In recent years, many of these casinos have undergone ownership changes and director yet these changes are little known to the average casino visitor. Table gaming of every kind is found in Las Vegas, high limit games, low limit games, slot machines that range from penny machines to hundred dollar machines exist in nearly all of these Las Vegas casinos.

The Las Vegas strip has big appeal to casino visitors because of the attractions available. A tour through some of the big casinos there and one can feel they've been to another world. Paris casino has the feel of being in France. Venetian hotel has the feel of being in Venice, Italy. The pyramid casino (Luxor) gives the feel of being in ancient Egypt. Caesers Palace still has the emperor and empress strolling the casino floor and it's easy to get photos with the characters. Shopping is now a big thing there with the forum shops at Caeser's and the Venetian has a large shopping area.

If you don't feel like world traveling, the fountains at Bellagio are quite the site and don't miss the volano which erupts often just outside the Mirage hotel. For Nascar fans, there is now a racing theme casino in the former Sahara location and for the kids there many Las Vegas attractions which exist just for their entertainment.

Truly Las Vegas has become more than just a world class gambling and casino location. It has taken sin city to a new family friendly level (in some places) while at the same time it has maintained their ever famous slogan, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas for establishments geared to a younger, hipper gaming clientele. Hard Rock Casino and the very popular Palms hotel and casino cater to this clientele. In these casinos it is easy to spot actors, actresses, singers, dancers, famous faces, starlets partaking in casino gambling and gaming or just relaxing by the pools. Las Vegas is big on inground swimming pools. You'll find one at every hotel casino and they are not just simple swimming pools. Everything in Las Vegas is built for "show". Many of the casino hotel pools offer gaming, blackjack in particular, right at the pool.

Whether you're an avid gambler or just desire a visit to Las Vegas, you're sure to find much to do in this casino destination. Casino gambling, fabulous rooms to stay, fine dining, fantastic shows and the famous Las Vegas strip with all its' grandeur awaits you here. With all the casino action and sights in Las Vegas, it had to be the number one topic on Casinos Around The World. Las Vegas is always open and the many fine casino resort hotels have reservations available so be sure to visit if you get the chance.
